LATGC (vs. LATFC)

Today I enjoyed a delicious luncheon repast of vegetable lasagna (slightly overcooked, but vastly better than Sicilian casserole), green salad (fresh), roll (soft), carrots (cooked yet still tasted like carrots), and chocolate cake (calorie-free) at the Georgia Center. Not only that, but someone else paid for it.

Johnson tried to heckle me via Twitter, but I rose above it.

Hmmm, I had lunch off campus at a place without an impressive acronym. I feel so left out.

Karen, please specify: did you eat at the Savannah Room or at the Courtyard Cafe? These are vastly different dining experiences. I have been puzzled by a phenomenon at the Savannah Room -- why all the oldsters? Really, it seems to be the preferred dining place of retired faculty. And yet, parking isn't great. Is it because of the cloth napkins? All you LATFCers can look forward to migrating over there in 20 years or so . . . the strawberry pie IS pretty good. I have no idea if they serve lemon bars.

We were in the fabulous Magnolia Room for a banquet, as opposed to a restaurant where people actually pay to eat. I think the Savannah Room in 20 years sounds great. On our whopping 1/2% raises per year, we'll be able to share a piece of pie there every day.
