Over to the right there's something new on your Lunch at the Faculty Center blog - a POLL! We have a pair of photos below, let us know which is the better image.
(No, there's no real point to this poll. Or to this entry. Or, heck, even to this blog.)
Entry 1: The Hume Sandwich
Entry 2: The Johnson Platter

Did that platter of gravy come with a spoon, Johnson?
It actually came with a straw ...
NO FAIR!! The original challenge was Hume's half-eaten sandwich vs. Johnson's EMPTY plate. How can anyone compete with gravy?
From my napkin:
"I think my half-eaten sandwich would be a much better picture than your empty plate."
Of course, to be fair, even an empty plate of country fried steak trumps a half-eaten veggie sandwich.

Only if you're still there to appreciate it, and not in the ambulance on your way to the hospital with your arteries all clogged up.
And lord knows I love a nice comforting dish of fat-laden goodness, myself, but that platter looks like dog vomit to me.
You're welcome.
You assume, of course, that there ever was an empty plate. With no photo of such empty plate, there's no evidence it ever existed.
Only things that are photographed and published exist. Wasn't that today's lesson?
Seriously. Those food pix were obviously photoshopped. So much for blog ethics. Even with Johnson's amazing photography skills I am still shaking my head & still saying: I can't believe you eat there.
No, K ... I can't believe you don't eat there. It is the Faculty Center, after all. I think it's some kind of rule.
I feel oddly compelled to point out that she doesn't have tenure.
