The replacement space will be on the fourth floor of the new Tate II center, scheduled to open in 2009. The new eatery will forego the oak paneling and cathedral ceilings in favor of an open floor space.
The third floor of Tate II will also feature a food court, complete with a Barberitos and an Inoko Express-like stand.
Fears are already spreading that this will hasten the retirement of Prof. Conrad Fink.

Oh, and Damn!
And will this new and improved location include the always-popular, often-blogged, and never-to-be-doubted lemon bars? If not, we'll march, we'll protest, we'll change our curriculum to include Introduction to Lemonicity and Multimedia Lemonness and Critical Lemonmedia and Lemons in Journalism History (I'm told Yellow Journalism is named so due to the Zen of Lem(on)).
You can't make stuff like that up, so it must be true. Or I've had too much Scotch.
Oh No! and I've just recently convinced my boyfriend to walk down the hill from the philosophy building to have lunch at the Faculty Center. Ill miss the odd echo of the place...
That is a travesty! I am shocked and appalled. I was so looking forward to not enjoying a meal there again. What will become of the blog? Will the new place be called the faculty center. I need more information, people!
